Deposit
A deposit may be required upon acceptance of the order. The amount and terms of any deposit will be confirmed in writing at the time of quotation.
Quotation Validity
All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue and may be subject to manufacturer or supplier price increases after this period. We will notify you of any changes before proceeding.
Interim Payments
For larger projects, interim payments may be required at agreed stages throughout the project. These will be agreed and confirmed in writing before work commences.

Existing Electrical Installation
Adding to an Existing Circuit — Our quotation assumes that the existing electrical installation is safe and suitable to allow the proposed works to be carried out. If during the course of the works it becomes apparent that additional work is required to ensure safety or compliance, this will be brought to your attention at the earliest opportunity. At this point you will be asked whether you wish for the additional works to proceed or whether the works should cease. Any work undertaken up to that point will be charged either as previously advised or on a time and materials basis.
RCD Protection — Where a new consumer unit is installed, or RCD protection is introduced to an existing installation, previously undetected faults within existing circuits, wiring, or appliances may become apparent. This is the protective device operating correctly. Hobbs Electrical Group Ltd cannot be held responsible for faults that are revealed in existing circuits, wiring, or appliances once RCD protection has been installed, as these faults may have been present prior to the works. All RCD protection is installed in accordance with BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations).
Property and Installation Conditions
Electrical cables within walls, ceilings, and floors cannot always be identified prior to works commencing.
While every effort will be made to minimise disruption, some damage to decoration, plasterwork, flooring, or other building materials may occur during the installation process. Hobbs Electrical Group Ltd cannot be held responsible for the cost of redecorating or making good, unless specifically agreed in writing.
Where cables are concealed within walls, floors, or ceilings, some chasing, drilling, or lifting of flooring may be required. Any making good, plastering, decorating, or floor finishing following these works is not included unless stated within the quotation.
Client Responsibilities
The client is responsible for ensuring the working area is cleared as far as reasonably possible to allow safe access for the works to be carried out. Additional time required due to restricted access or obstructions may be chargeable.
Welfare Facilities
Access to running water and toilet facilities is assumed during the course of the works. If this is not possible, please inform us prior to commencement so that alternative arrangements can be agreed.
Parking and Charges
Our quotation does not include parking charges, congestion charges, or Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) charges where applicable. Any such costs incurred will be added to the final invoice.
Alterations and Changes
Any alterations, additions, or changes to the agreed scope of works requested by the client will be treated as a variation and may result in additional charges. These will be agreed where possible before the work is undertaken.
